Endometriosis trial

Digital studies looks at how women track their symptoms and menstrual cycle using an app, and whether this information can be turned into helpful reports for doctors.

We are inviting around 1,000 women to take part in studies for endometriosis diagnosis.
The studies will follow each participant for at least three menstrual cycles.

  • We want to understand:

    • Can the app collect useful and reliable health data?

    • Can this data be turned into a clear report for your doctor (GP)?

    • How do symptoms change over time and across cycles?

    • Can people with endometriosis diagnosed by their symptoms?

    • How symptoms relate to your cycle phase and any treatments?

  • If you take part, you’ll be asked to log:

    • Your symptoms

    • Your menstrual cycle

    • Any treatments you use

    • Basic app usage (like how often you log data)

    • You will always give consent before participating

    • Your data will be anonymous (no one can identify you)

    • Results will only be used in a grouped (aggregated) way

  • We will look at:

    • How complete and consistent the data is

    • Whether we can successfully create doctor-ready reports

    • How many people stay engaged for 3 cycles
